Adam Hadwin Takes Valspar Championship on Final Hole

Adam Hadwin joined the 59 club at the Career Builder Challenge two months ago, he’s getting married in two weeks and yesterday he took the Valspar Championship for his first PGA Tour win. 2017 is off to a good start for the Canadian!

Hadwin had a 4 shot lead after 8 holes looking like he was going to walk-in a well-cushioned win when Patrick Cantlay lit it up. Cantlay birdied 5 of the next 6 holes to put him within two shots of the leader with three to play. Hadwin dunks his 3-wood into the 16th pond for a double bogey and both guys stand on 18th tee tied at -14. Both approach shots miss the green but Cantlay misses his 15 footer for par and Hadwin taps his 1 footer in for the win.

Haddy and his soon-to-be wife, Jessica, were going to honeymoon in French Polynesia on the first week of April but he now has a date with The Masters. “Sorry, Babe” he said with a grin.

Best of luck at Augusta Adam!
