Jon Rahm’s Win at DP Championship Earns Tommy Fleetwood Race to Dubai Win

The European Tour season came to an end on Sunday and Spaniard, Jon Rahm concluded his epic season with a W at the DP World Tour Championship.

Rahm shot a final-round 67 to beat Kiradech Aphibarnrat and Shane Lowry by two shots.

“I could not be more proud of what I’ve done this week,” Rahm told reporters. “Having the weekend that I’ve had, actually shooting 12 under on the last 36 holes, bogey-free round today, it’s really special.”

In his second European Tour win of the year, Rahm’s win helped Tommy Fleetwood win the season-long Race to Dubai title.

Justin Rose, who was one of three players with a chance to win the race, held the 54-hole lead but dropped back to fourth place after a Sunday 70.

Rose’s T-4 finish gave Fleetwood the win by 58,821 Euros

“I find it amazing, the season starts in November, December and you get to here and you’re watching the last shot of the season to decide who wins the Race to Dubai,” Fleetwood said at the trophy ceremony. “But yeah, very special and something we didn’t really aim for at the start of the year, but it’s happened.”
