Speith Wins 9th Career Tournament at Pebble Beach

The AT&T Pro-Am at Pebble Beach got off to a tough start weather-wise last week but Jordan Speith was still able to go into the weekend at ten under par. The sun came out on Saturday and the young-gun didn’t take his foot off the pedal. After hitting all but one green in regulation on Sunday, Speith took his 9th career win by four strokes over Brandt Snedeker who was unable to make a back nine charge on the beautiful Pebble Beach Golf Links course.

The amateur field boasted some low numbers but Carson Daily and Ken Duke took the title at 33 under par. Carson gave an emotional interview to highlight how his family was in attendance and how important the win was for him.

Another great year at Pebble as the tournament raised over $166 million for it’s charities. The main reason Bing Crosby founded the event in 1937.

* Notable is Bill Murray’s verbal comeback after a fan told him that “Kevin Costner made birdie on this hole”, Murray responded with: “Kevin Costner made Waterworld…”.

All is good in the world of golf as long as Murray keeps his quick wit at Pebble.
