Vegas Defends Title at RBC Canadian Open

The RBC Canadian Open at Glen Abbey played out last week just outside Toronto, Canada and although some of the world’s top players were in attendance, they didn’t shine like last year’s winner Jhonattan Vegas.

Out to defend his title, the Venezuelan native started Sunday three shots behind leader Charley Hoffman but drained six birdie putts on the first eleven holes to take the lead. Hoffman, starting out with a pair of birdies, stalled-out playing holes three to fifteen in even par but managed to close with two birdies to take Vegas to a playoff. In the first playoff hole, Vegas tapped in his birdie to take the tournament and defend his title.
